Entry Requirements

✔️Age: 16 years old
✔️Language: At least Grade C6 in GCE O-levels English or IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL 56 or Duolingo 85 (no component less than 75). Applicants who do not possess the stipulated English language qualification will be required to undergo the Academy's English Language Placement Assessment.
✔️Academic: At least a pass (Grade C6) in GCE O-levels or equivalent, or NITEC/Higher NITEC. Mature candidates aged 30 years and above with at least 8 years of relevant working experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Learners will develop an understanding of skin types and conditions, facial shapes and features, colour theory, skin preparation, and the appropriate selection of make-up products, tools and application techniques. The module covers corrective make-up, full make-up application, fashion and photographic make-up for both colour and black-and-white photography, as well as media make-up techniques, including character creation and casualty effects. Learners will also gain hands-on experience in developing and adapting make-up design plans to meet different client needs, creative concepts, production requirements and budgets. Emphasis is placed on professional application techniques, creativity, hygiene, attention to detail and the ability to achieve suitable make-up results while maintaining client comfort, safety and professional industry standards.

MODULE 3: Professional Conduct and Business Awareness

This module introduces learners to the essential principles of professional conduct, business awareness and client relationship management within the professional make-up industry.
