Entry Requirements

✔️Age: 16 years old
✔️Language: At least Grade C6 in GCE O-levels English or IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL 56 or Duolingo 85 (no component less than 75). Applicants who do not possess the stipulated English language qualification will be required to undergo the Academy's English Language Placement Assessment.
✔️Academic: At least a pass (Grade C6) in GCE O-levels or equivalent, or NITEC/Higher NITEC. Mature candidates aged 30 years and above with at least 8 years of relevant working experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

MODULE 1: Health and Safety Practice in the Salon

This module equips learners with essential knowledge and practical skills in maintaining health, safety, and hygiene standards within a professional salon environment. It covers workplace safety procedures, infection prevention and control, personal hygiene, equipment sanitation, risk assessment, and safe working practices. Learners will develop the ability to identify potential hazards, implement appropriate preventive measures, and maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment for both clients and beauty practitioners.

MODULE 2: Face Care and Eye Treatment

This module equips learners with the essential knowledge and practical skills to perform professional facial care and eye treatments. It covers client consultation, skin analysis, identification of skin types and conditions, and the appropriate selection of skincare products, treatment methods, and techniques. Learners will develop competencies in performing facial and eye treatments, adapting procedures to meet individual client needs, recognising contraindications, and providing appropriate aftercare and homecare advice to ensure safe, effective, and personalised beauty treatments.

MODULE 3: Professional Conduct and Business Awareness

This module equips learners with the essential knowledge and professional skills required to operate effectively within the beauty industry. It covers professional ethics, client consultation and communication, hygiene and workplace safety, client confidentiality, identification of contraindications, appropriate referral procedures, and the management of potential contra-actions. Learners will also develop an understanding of customer service, salon operations, business awareness, and professional responsibilities, enabling them to maintain high standards of service, ensure client satisfaction, and support effective salon and beauty business operations.

Is the programme open to international students, and am I eligible to apply for a Student’s Pass?
