Entry Requirements

✔️At least 16 years old
✔️Academic Requirement: At least a Grade C6 (Min 50 Percent) at O-Level in any 3 subjects or matured candidate who is 30 years old with at least 8 years of relevant working experience.
✔️Language Requirement: At least a Grade 5 (Min 50 Percent) at N-Level English or IELTS 4.5

Additional Notes

✔️This is a hands-on workshop, and participants will receive a Certificate of Completion upon finishing the course.
✔️All training materials are included.
✔️Each session runs approximately 3–4 hours, depending on the schedule and class progress.
✔️ Model practice (if applicable) will be arranged by SOQ International Academy. Learners who wish to request additional models may do so at a rate of $80 per model.
✔️On-Job Training (OJT) is available only for the Master Class and/or Diploma level.
✔️Examination dates (if applicable) will be announced during the course.
✔️Learners have up to 12 months from the course start date to complete their training.
✔️Course Fees are non-refundable, unless the academy cancels the class without an alternate commencement date.
✔️A minimum of 4 participants is required for class commencement. In the event of low enrolment, SOQ International Academy will notify students at least 7 days in advance and offer an alternative start date.

What’s the difference between this workshop and the Diploma certificate?

The Makeup MasterClass is a skills-based, hands-on workshop focused on mastering advanced makeup artistry techniques. It emphasizes practical application, creativity, and real-world salon or freelance readiness — with live model training, photography and stage makeup practice, and hairstyling integration. It’s ideal for learners who want to upgrade their professional skills or start taking client projects confidently.

In contrast, the Diploma in Makeup Artistry is a comprehensive academic qualification that combines both technical training and professional theory. It includes modules on beauty business management, client consultation, color science, hygiene standards, salon operations, and portfolio development. Are tools and materials included?

All essential tools and materials for classroom practice are provided during the training. Learners will have access to professional makeup products, brushes, and practice materials under trainer supervision.

Personal takeaway kits are included based on the level of the course — with the contents varying according to the skills and techniques covered. Higher-level courses may include a more comprehensive set of professional products and tools to support advanced practice and continued learning beyond the classroom.

Learners will have the opportunity to work on 4 live models under trainer supervision, gaining real-world experience in creating professional makeup looks for different occasions such as day, evening, photography, and stage settings. This hands-on practice helps build confidence, precision, and portfolio-ready skills essential for professional makeup artistry.

What is On-Job Training (OJT)?

On-Job Training (OJT) is a practical learning experience that allows students to apply what they’ve learned in real salon or studio settings. During OJT, learners perform actual makeup tasks under supervision — gaining confidence, improving speed and technique, and understanding how to work with real clients in a professional environment.

Is there a salary during On-Job Training (OJT)?

There is no salary during the OJT period, as it is a training component of the course. However, learners will have opportunities to participate in real assignments such as events, bridal, or personal makeup sessions. In some cases, a training allowance like transport allowance or meal allowance may be provided, depending on the nature of the project and arrangement.
