Entry Requirements
  • ✔️At least 16 years old
  • ✔️Academic Requirement: At least a Grade C6 (Min 50 Percent) at O-Level in any 3 subjects or matured candidate who is 30 years old with at least 8 years of relevant working experience.
  • ✔️Language Requirement: At least a Grade 5 (Min 50 Percent) at N-Level English or IELTS 4.5

Additional Notes
  • ✔️This is a hands-on workshop, and participants will receive a Certificate of Completion upon finishing the course.
  • ✔️All training materials are included.
  • ✔️Each session runs approximately 3–4 hours, depending on the schedule and class progress.
  • ✔️ Model practice (if applicable) will be arranged by SOQ International Academy. Learners who wish to request additional models may do so at a rate of $80 per model.
  • ✔️On-Job Training (OJT) is available only for the Master Class and/or Diploma level.
  • ✔️Examination dates (if applicable) will be announced during the course.
  • ✔️Learners have up to 12 months from the course start date to complete their training.
  • ✔️Course Fees are non-refundable, unless the academy cancels the class without an alternate commencement date.
  • ✔️A minimum of 4 participants is required for class commencement. In the event of low enrolment, SOQ International Academy will notify students at least 7 days in advance and offer an alternative start date.

Upon completing the Personal Makeup Course, learners will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by SOQ International Academy.
The Personal Makeup workshop focuses on practical, hands-on learning for individuals who want to enhance their personal grooming skills or explore professional techniques in a short time. It emphasizes makeup application, tool handling, and style creation for different occasions — ideal for self-learners, beginners, and beauty enthusiasts.

In contrast, the Diploma in Makeup Artistry offers a comprehensive and career-oriented qualification. It includes not only advanced makeup techniques, but also modules on hairstyling, color theory, client consultation, hygiene practices, portfolio building, and salon professionalism. The diploma is designed for those who wish to become certified makeup artists, work in salons, media, or fashion, or even start their own beauty business.

In short: the workshop builds your skills, while the diploma builds your career.
All essential tools and materials for classroom practice are provided during the training. Learners will have access to professional makeup products, brushes, and practice materials under trainer supervision.

Personal takeaway kits are included based on the level of the course — with the contents varying according to the skills and techniques covered. Higher-level courses may include a more comprehensive set of professional products and tools to support advanced practice and continued learning beyond the classroom.
No, model practice is not included in the Personal Makeup Course.

This course is focused on self-application techniques, where learners practice directly on themselves under trainer guidance. The goal is to help participants master personal grooming, daily wear, and event-ready makeup skills suited to their own facial features and style preferences.
On-Job Training (OJT) is a practical learning experience that allows students to apply what they’ve learned in real salon or studio settings. During OJT, learners perform actual makeup tasks under supervision — gaining confidence, improving speed and technique, and understanding how to work with real clients in a professional environment.
There is no salary during the OJT period, as it is a training component of the course. However, learners will have opportunities to participate in real assignments such as events, bridal, or personal makeup sessions. In some cases, a training allowance like transport allowance or meal allowance may be provided, depending on the nature of the project and arrangement.
This course is not eligible for government funding or subsidies.
