Entry Requirements

✔️At least 16 years old
✔️Academic Requirement: At least a Grade C6 (Min 50 Percent) at O-Level in any 3 subjects or matured candidate who is 30 years old with at least 8 years of relevant working experience.
✔️Language Requirement: At least a Grade 5 (Min 50 Percent) at N-Level English or IELTS 4.5

✔️All amount stated are in Singapore Dollars (SGD), and no GST.
✔️Registration Fees refer to the price that the student pays the school for the sole purpose of processing the application requirements, and it is non-refunable.
✔️The maximum allowed period for a student to complete the course is 18 months from first date of course
✔️The Course Fee are non-refundable, unless there is no future class commence date by SOQ International Academy
✔️The minimum number of students that is required before a class commences is 6 pax, in the event the class cannot commence due to low take up rate, SOQ International Academy will notify the students at least 7 days in advance and provide an alternate commerce date.

The Diploma in Holistic Massage provides learners with a comprehensive set of professional skills required to deliver effective and safe massage treatments. Learners will master holistic massage techniques, including the ability to select suitable massage mediums based on different skin types, apply the five classical massage movements, and adapt treatments according to each client’s unique needs. They will also develop strong business awareness — understanding client needs, identifying contraindications, conducting professional consultations, and offering pre- and post-treatment advice to ensure optimal care.

The course further emphasizes health, safety, and hygiene practices, alongside a detailed study of anatomy and physiology, focusing on the body’s systems, common diseases, and disorders. Learners will explore the principles and practice of complementary therapies, as well as professional conduct and business awareness within the wellness industry. Additionally, they will cultivate essential soft skills such as effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving — all crucial for success in a client-focused environment.

It covers all major systems including the skeletal, muscular, skin, cardiovascular, lymphatic, neurological, endocrine, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems. Learners will also study the structure and functions of cells and tissues, gaining essential knowledge to understand how massage impacts the body holistically and promotes overall wellness.

MODULE 2: Holistic Massage

Learners will develop the practical techniques and theoretical knowledge needed to deliver safe and effective holistic massage treatments. The module explores the history and development of massage, relevant legislation and safety standards, and how to conduct thorough client consultations to identify needs and contraindications. Through hands-on practice, learners will master over 10 massage techniques, including Effleurage, Petrissage, Frictions, Percussion, Tapotement, Vibrations, and Passive movements, learning to adapt each treatment to individual client requirements and skin conditions.

MODULE 3: Professional conduct and business awareness

This module prepares learners to operate professionally within the wellness and spa industry. It emphasizes ethical standards, health and hygiene practices, and the importance of effective communication with clients. Learners will also gain foundational knowledge in finance, costing, and retail principles, as well as practical skills in sales and marketing techniques. These competencies enable graduates to manage client relationships, uphold professionalism, and pursue entrepreneurial opportunities in the massage and wellness sector.

Learners will gain extensive hands-on experience through practical sessions designed to develop precision, confidence, and professional expertise in massage application. Is this qualification recognized for massage licensing?

Yes. This diploma is an approved qualification under the Massage Establishment licensing framework, making graduates eligible to apply for work in licensed spas, wellness centers, and massage clinics in Singapore or abroad.

What skills will I learn?

Learners will master over 10 massage techniques, including Effleurage, Petrissage, Frictions, Tapotement, and Vibrations, while gaining strong understanding of human anatomy, professional ethics, client consultation, and wellness business operations.

Are tools and materials provided?

The school will provide all classroom-use materials required for learning and practice during the course. However, learners are encouraged to bring their own personal tools and disposable items, such as towels, wipes, or other hygiene-related products, for personal use and hygiene purposes. A detailed checklist of recommended items will be provided during class orientation.

Is there any On-Job Training (OJT)?

Due to current regulations under the Massage Establishment Act, there is no external OJT placement. However, learners will gain extensive supervised practical experience during in-class training, performing full-body massage treatments on real models.

Are there job opportunities after graduation?

Yes. While job placement is not guaranteed, graduates can join the academy’s Job Matching Program to gain priority access to interviews with partner spas, wellness centers, and holistic therapy clinics.

What are the entry requirements?

Applicants should be aged 16 or above and possess a basic command of English (equivalent to N-Level Grade 5 or IELTS 4.5). No prior massage experience is required — beginners are welcome.

Are there funding / subsidies available?

Currently, this course is not eligible for government funding or subsidies.

Is attendance / assessment strict?

You’ll likely need to maintain a minimal 75% attendance rate to qualify for exams or assessments. Assessments may include assignments, presentations, final exams.

What if I want to defer, withdraw, or switch course mid-way?

We understand that plans can change! Requests for deferment, withdrawal, or course transfer are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Learners are given up to 18 months to complete the course, so there’s flexibility to pause and resume your studies within that period.
