Entry Requirements

✔️At least 16 years old
✔️Academic Requirement: At least a Grade C6 (Min 50 Percent) at O-Level in any 3 subjects or matured candidate who is 30 years old with at least 8 years of relevant working experience.
✔️Language Requirement: At least a Grade 5 (Min 50 Percent) at N-Level English or IELTS 4.5

✔️All amount stated are in Singapore Dollars (SGD), and no GST.
✔️Registration Fees refer to the price that the student pays the school for the sole purpose of processing the application requirements, and it is non-refunable.
✔️The maximum allowed period for a student to complete the course is 18 months from first date of course
✔️The Course Fee are non-refundable, unless there is no future class commence date by SOQ International Academy
✔️The minimum number of students that is required before a class commences is 6 pax, in the event the class cannot commence due to low take up rate, SOQ International Academy will notify the students at least 7 days in advance and provide an alternate commerce date.
✔️Local Student refers to Singaporean Citizens & Permanent Residents
✔️We do not issue Student Passes. “International Student” refers to individuals holding a valid Work Pass or any other long-term permit that allows them to reside legally in Singapore throughout the duration of their studies.

The course covers over 40 types of essential oils, introducing learners to their properties, origins, and therapeutic uses. Some of the key oils include Lavandin, Lavender, Clary Sage, Marjoram, Rosemary, Thyme, Peppermint, Basil, Patchouli, Neroli, Petitgrain, Bitter Orange, Bergamot, Eucalyptus, and Tea Tree, among many others. Learners will gain the knowledge to select, blend, and apply these oils effectively for wellness, relaxation, and holistic treatments.

MODULE 2: Provide Aromatherapy Treatment

In this module, learners will gain a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practice of aromatherapy. They will study the history and theories behind aromatherapy, the structure and function of plants, and the chemistry of essential and carrier oils. Learners will also explore product quality, blending techniques, consultation procedures, and contraindications to treatment. Practical sessions will allow students to prepare, perform, and evaluate aromatherapy treatments, while providing aftercare and home-care advice tailored to individual client needs.

MODULE 3: Professional Conduct and Business Awareness

This module equips learners with the professional and business skills needed to succeed in the wellness and beauty industry. Students will understand the importance of ethical practice, health and safety standards, and effective communication. They will also learn the fundamentals of finance, retail, sales, and marketing, empowering them to confidently manage or promote their own aromatherapy or wellness business while upholding professional integrity.

Are tools and materials included?

Yes, the course includes a starter aromatherapy kit with essential tools and materials such as carrier oils, essential oils, and blending accessories. These will be used throughout the training and can also support learners in practicing at home or starting their own aromatherapy practice after the course.

Is model practice included?

Yes, model practice is part of the course. However, learners are required to bring their own models for both practical sessions and examinations. This ensures they gain real hands-on experience and confidence in performing professional aromatherapy treatments.

What if I don’t have a model?

If you are unable to find your own model, the school can arrange one for you at a rate of $80 per model. This ensures you can still complete all required practical sessions and assessments smoothly.

Is there any On-Job Training (OJT)?

No, there is no On-Job Training arrangement for this course due to current regulations under the Massage Establishment Act. However, learners will still gain extensive hands-on experience through in-class practical sessions conducted under trainer supervision.

Are there job opportunities after the course?

Currently, this course is not eligible for government funding or subsidies.

Is attendance / assessment strict?

You’ll likely need to maintain a minimal 75% attendance rate to qualify for exams or assessments. Assessments may include assignments, presentations, final exams.

What if I want to defer, withdraw, or switch course mid-way?

We understand that plans can change! Requests for deferment, withdrawal, or course transfer are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Learners are given up to 18 months to complete the course, so there’s flexibility to pause and resume your studies within that period.
