Entry Requirements

• ✔️At least 16 years old
• ✔️Academic Requirement: At least a Grade C6 (Min 50 Percent) at O-Level in any 3 subjects or matured candidate who is 30 years old with at least 8 years of relevant working experience.
• ✔️Language Requirement: At least a Grade 5 (Min 50 Percent) at N-Level English or IELTS 4.5

• ✔️Dates of the examination to be announced during course.
• ✔️All amount stated are in Singapore Dollars (SGD), and no GST.
• ✔️Registration Fees refer to the price that the student pays the school for the sole purpose of processing the application requirements, and it is non-refunable.
• ✔️The maximum allowed period for a student to complete the course is 18 months from first date of course
• ✔️The Course Fee are non-refundable, unless there is no future class commence date by SOQ International Academy
• ✔️The minimum number of students that is required before a class commences is 6 pax, in the event the class cannot commence due to low take up rate, SOQ International Academy will notify the students at least 7 days in advance and provide an alternate commerce date.
• ✔️Local Student refers to Singaporean Citizens & Permanent Residents
• ✔️We do not issue Student Passes. “International Student” refers to individuals holding a valid Work Pass or any other long-term permit that allows them to reside legally in Singapore throughout the duration of their studies.

-Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least eight (8) years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness OR case-by-case basis through an interview, taking into account factors such as relevance of experience, learning readiness, career planning, and other relevant considerations. SOQ reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.

MODULE 1: Health and Safety Practices in the Salon

✔️ Understand the role and responsibilities of health and safety supervisors

MODULE 2: Provide Professional Make Up

✔️ Prepare the work area, tools, products, and client for professional make-up services
✔️ Apply professional make-up techniques for day, evening, special occasion, bridal, and customised themed looks
✔️ Prepare and provide hairstyling services to complement the overall make-up look
✔️ Plan a complete image based on the theme, occasion, and client requirements
✔️ Create a complete image through coordinated make-up, hairstyling, and overall presentation

MODULE 3: Professional Conduct and Business Awareness

✔️ Understand the key steps in establishing and managing a professional beauty business
✔️ Understand ethical practice, professional conduct, and service responsibility in beauty services
✔️ Apply effective communication skills when interacting with clients and providing services
✔️ Understand basic finance, costing, retail, sales, and marketing principles to support business operations
✔️ Apply effective sales and marketing techniques to promote beauty services and business growth
