Entry Requirements
  • ✔️At least 16 years old
  • ✔️Academic Requirement: At least a Grade C6 (Min 50 Percent) at O-Level in any 3 subjects or matured candidate who is 30 years old with at least 8 years of relevant working experience.
  • ✔️Language Requirement: At least a Grade 5 (Min 50 Percent) at N-Level English or IELTS 4.5

  • ✔️All amount stated are in Singapore Dollars (SGD), and no GST.
  • ✔️Registration Fees refer to the price that the student pays the school for the sole purpose of processing the application requirements, and it is non-refunable.
  • ✔️The maximum allowed period for a student to complete the course is 18 months from first date of course
  • ✔️The Course Fee are non-refundable, unless there is no future class commence date by SOQ International Academy
  • ✔️The minimum number of students that is required before a class commences is 6 pax, in the event the class cannot commence due to low take up rate, SOQ International Academy will notify the students at least 7 days in advance and provide an alternate commerce date.

-Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least eight (8) years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness OR case-by-case basis through an interview, taking into account factors such as relevance of experience, learning readiness, career planning, and other relevant considerations. SOQ reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.

This module introduces learners to essential health, safety, and hygiene standards within a salon environment. Students will learn how to maintain a clean and safe workspace, handle tools and products correctly, and follow proper sanitation and infection control procedures — ensuring the well-being of both clients and professionals.

Learners are required to source their own models in accordance with the requirements stated in the Portfolio of Evidence (Case Studies). For learners who require assistance, the school can help arrange models at a charge of $80 per model (per pax), subject to availability.

Yes. Learners may request to extend their practical sessions by informing the school in advance. All additional sessions are subject to trainer availability. The school will provide the necessary facilities for the approved extended practical sessions.

On-Job Training (OJT) is a practical learning experience that allows students to apply what they’ve learned in real salon or studio settings. During OJT, learners perform actual makeup tasks under supervision — gaining confidence, improving speed and technique, and understanding how to work with real clients in a professional environment.

There is no salary during the OJT period, as it is a training component of the course. However, learners will have opportunities to participate in real assignments such as events, bridal, or personal makeup sessions. In some cases, a training allowance like transport allowance or meal allowance may be provided, depending on the nature of the project and arrangement.

Currently, this course is not eligible for government funding or subsidies.
